The founder of the Order of Nazorean Essenes is Abba Yesai Nasrai (also known as Davied Asia Israel). In the Encyclopedia of American Religions - entry 1172, the following information is found:

 
Purpose: The group believes that its "Order was re-established by the heavens for the purpose of facilitating a full restoration of the primitive Nazorean Christianity of the first century, sifting through the dross of ages of neglect and corruption, and bequeathing to its members a pure canon of Nazirutha scripture capable of assisting them in their quest for perfection and purification from all that is inferior. "

Basic Claim: The group teaches: "The Order of Nazorean Essenes is a modern resurrection of the ancient "Nasaraeans", a vegetarian sect of Essenes spoken of by the ancient historians. We are a small esoteric School organized into three different Levels - the Restored Essene & Manichaean Orthodox Church of Yeshua and Miryai, the B'nei Amin Temple Order and the Amun-il Order. "We teach that Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah was born into our northern Nazorean branch of Essenes - as it is written: "He shall be called a Nasorene!"(Matthew 2:23); and that Miryai (Mary Magdalene) later joined Him: "To the Jewish Temple I would not go, but my way bore me onto the Nazorean Temple. I went and I found my brothers and sisters, how they stand and praise." (Mandaean Book of John)

Statement on Jesus: "We also seek to share our non-traditional understanding of Yeshua (Jesus) the Nazorean, who sayeth: "Search ever and cease not until ye find the Mysteries of the Light which will lead you into the Light-Land. Beware of the doctrines of error. For many will come in my name, and say: It is I. And it is not I, and they will lead many astray." (Jesus, Pistis Sophia 111)

Statement on Mary: We offer a balanced male and female form of Buddhist Christianity, and seek to share our understanding of the female Messiah Miryai, who promises us:
"The vine who bears fruit, doth ascend: who bears none will here be cut off. Whosoever lets oneself be enlightened through me and instructed, ascends and beholds the Light's region; who ever does not let oneself be enlightened through me and instructed, is cut off and falls into the great End·Sea." (Mandaean Book of John)

Mission: The group claims: "The Order of O:N:E: has also been charged with a full restoration of the purifying Mysteries, or rejuvenating Sacraments, of original Gnostic Christianity. We have also been commissioned with the establishment of Nazorean Communities and the building of Nazorean Temples and Shrines, as interest and resources permit. Our mission is to again make available the natural Essene lifestyle, male-female balance, lunar calendar, coed monasteries, temple rituals & liberating gnosis of original Nazorean and Manichaean Christianity.  We have been entrusted with certain little known "Scrolls" of Mandaic, Gnostic and Manichaean origin, and with certain "Heavenly Empowerments" and "Hidden Mysteries" to help us accomplish this calling. Our Priest(ess)hood is composed of both men and women and we worship a male and female form of both Deity and Messiah."

Scriptures: "The Sacred Scrolls of the Order of Nazorean Essenes consist of edited Aramaic writings of the early vegetarian Nazoreans (preserved by the Mandaeans), the Coptic scrolls of the Nag Hammadhi Library (hidden in antiquity by persecuted Gnostics), and the recovered writings of the vegan Manichaean sect (rediscovered in Medinat Madi Egypt, Turfan, & China)."
