Jewish & Roman Christian God |
Original Christianity and early Gnostics did
not worship Jehovah, the God of the Jews and the Old Testament, nor did
they worship the Christian God fashioned out of a hybrid of Jewish and
Roman archetypes. The Gnostic Deity was the Great Life, the Hidden Living
Ones and this was the original God of the Jewish People and of the Nazoreans
of Yeshu (Jesus).
Early Nazoreans said that "Nazoreanism was
older than Judaism." They understood Judaism to be a corruption of the
original pure Gnosis by those who returned from captivity in Persia and
who were sponsored by the Persian Government. In classic Nazorean and Gnostic
texts we are told that the god who created the world, and Judaism, was
not the high god but a lower deity. Sometimes called Sabbath sometimes
Ptahil. The earliest Christians did not worship this being. Later Roman
Christians adopted him as their own, however.
