Yeshu’s Call to Oneness

 

So what did Yeshu mean when he cried:

 

"Blessed are the solitary and elect, for you will find the kingdom. For you are from it, and to it you will return." [1]

 

He was not teaching that you entered it alone and by yourself, like a hermit, but that you entered into it when you became one with other righteous ones, or elect, and saw, felt and acted with one heart, one mind, and one body. This is, once again, the concept of the “Living Soul” that we mentioned in the earlier chapters. This is the unity of sparks that fly off from Adam Kadmon and which are gathered up again through Havah Kadmon, like Isis collected the scattered limbs of Osiris toward his resurrection. This collecting cannot completely happen unless a group of like hearted souls unite as one in a coed monastic setting. Without the rules and principles of Yeshu’s Holy Order, all attempts to live as one with others only lead to chaos. Yeshu brought souls into this unity by stages, through enlightening and transforming Gates, or ritual mystery passages. The eternal laws behind these stages were the reason Yeshu said that no one could enter the kingdom without the mysteries, or rites of passage.

 

"But truly, truly, I say unto you: Even if a righteous man hath committed no sins at all, he cannot possibly be brought into the Light-kingdom, because the sign of the kingdom of the mysteries is not with him. In a word, it is impossible to bring souls into the Light without the rituals of the Light-kingdom." [2]

 

Yeshu taught that being within the Kingdom of Light was a state of mind and heart, and was something that developed by stages within one until a sudden flash of enlightenment occurred. In the Gospel of Thomas we have reference to it developing like a mustard seed, or like leaven within a loaf. Yeshu taught his disciples the techniques that allowed this seed which he planted to develop and mature. This is what Yeshu’s lineage of Salome was referring to when it is said:

 

“And in their writings we read as follows, the interpretation which they give [of their views], declaring that Jesus spoke in a mystery to His disciples and apostles privately, and that they requested and obtained permission to hand down the things thus taught them, to others who should be worthy and believing. “[3]
